Understanding tradition to help create innovation

This class is recommended for dancers who feel stuck doing the same movements and looking to expand their knowledge of movement repertoire. This class will instruct dancers on how to be more versatile in their dance training or a staged performance. We will cover various folk style techniques to create combinations to help add finesse, fun, traditional yet innovative to your current dance vocabulary. This class will be accessible to all levels and genres of Arabic dance; however, it is highly recommended to have a strong understanding of Arabic musicality and rhythms. Please keep in mind this class is not strictly a musicality class.
