The creation of Tarot decks is a tradition that has been undertaken for hundreds of years in thousands of variations, and yet still offers an inexhaustible source of inspiration. The Tarot provides soul guidance so that we may connect with our spirit path and live in tune with the harmonious energies of the universe. Tarot is a rich source of imagery that speaks to us on a deeper level than words can. In this workshop we will open our oracular powers, activate our super-sensual awareness, and open to the wisdom of the Tarot, we will let the imagery move us so that we may embody the universal wisdom. Tarot imagery is commonly artistic, spiritual, and emotional, yet rarely explores the physicality of the archetypes. This experience will give the dancer the opportunity to trust her/his intuition and dance the archetypes into BE-ing, accessing deep and personal wisdom through the process. 

After an introduction to the archetypes, Amel Tafsout will use one tarot card for the group to familiarize themselves with the process before each dancer gets their own tarot card and to immerse in the imagery of the card before dancing it. The goal of this workshop is to connect with your own intuition and let your body express itself.

Please bring a journal and yoga mat. If possible, wear white clothing!

This intensive will be held in two 2-hour sessions, with a lunch break in between.
