OTHER LODGING OPTIONS
*Hotels, Any downtown or inner eastside hotel along the MAX line is within perfectly reasonable travel distance. For cheaper options, check out the Hostels, Air BnB or travelshare links below, or check out the Eastside Lodge for bare bones fairly close-in digs. You can also usually find a deal at one of the dozens of hotels that surround the Rose Quarter, (Convention Center/Moda Center) which is conveniently right on the MAX line so easy to pop over to the Artist's Repertory Theatre where the festival is.
*Airbnb, https://www.airbnb.com/ a service that allows homeowners to register and rent out their guest rooms and guest houses.
*You can also try posting on the Facebook forums JamBallah NW Classses Wanted/To Sell and Travelshare, or Portland, Oregon Bellydance Community, to see if any locals have a couch they'd let you surf on for the weekend.
**SUNDAY CLASSES WARNING!!** Unfortunately, we're once again the same weekend as the Portland Bridge Pedal, so if you're teaching Sunday morning be aware that closes most of the bridges in Portland from 7a-12:30p. The MAX train is a great alternative. If not, you can take I-5 SB to 1-405NB, both of which are supposedly open- and get off at exit 2A. Expect traffic.
*Trimet trimet.org (the ART is jut two blocks east of the Providence Field MAX Station)
Our local public transport company, Trimet, has a truly awesome Trip Planner on their website where you can search your exact time and destination requirements and it will tell you exactly what to do to get around with MAX, bus, streetcar and walking. Trip Planner is available throughout the entire Portland-metro area. Adult Fare (good for bus, MAX AND streetcar) is $2.40 for 2-hours, or 5$ for all-day.
We highly recommend riding public transport to the festival--Bus lines 15 and 51 both stop at our front door, and the Providence Field MAX station stops are just two blocks west of the festival.
Need to get to the festival from the Airport? Take MAX from the lobby of the PDX airport, practically to our door!
PARKING: There is ample metered street parking around the buildings, from 90m to 5hr limits. Street parking is free after 7p. Artist Rep sits on two parking lots run by City Center Parking: per day is $7.50 weekdays, $5 weekends. Access on SW 16th and SW Alder. The first is the lot, if that's full just drive through to the second lot, which is a garage under the building.
